Caring for your compression socks is very easy job. Lots of people are hesitated when they know that most compression socks require hand wash and only some brands can be washed in your machine on delicate setting, but you will get surprised figuring out the ease of washing them.

Custom made stockings are made of elastic and durable materials, however, you need to deal with them very delicately to make sure that they keep their elasticity.

Get a bucket, tub, or large bowl and fill it with warm water and then add little washing liquid and swirl it. Use delicate washing liquid and you can even use special liquid for socks.
Now soak the socks in the water for few minutes so that all dirt and spots become easier to clean. Rub the socks gently with each other and avoid hard rubbing to not stretch them.
Finally rinse the compression socks or refill the bucket with clean water to wash it and squeeze gently.

Now hang the socks by placing them on a dry towel over drying rack. Hanging compression socks directly may cause them to stretch because of water weight. Tadaaaa, you washed compression socks successfully.

Have in consideration that you should wash compression socks frequently depending on your usage, preferably every day. Washing compression socks is actually recommended because water makes the sock’s fabric shrink and it returns as good as new.

Good tip to enlarge compression socks life is to avoid wearing them while having moisturizer lotion on your legs. Lotions are found to damage the sock fabric, so you can apply your moisturizer in the evening just after taking compression socks off.
