So you’ve moved into your new apartment, and there’s a big event coming on the satellite or cable channel. So you’ve decided to have a bunch of friends over.
You’ve got the couch and perhaps a new coffee table, but you may be missing something that can add a lot of benefits to your upcoming get together. Side tables add functionality to any room. They save people from having to reach far for items such as the remote control, drinks and food on more distant places such as the coffee table. This is also why they help reduce the probability of dropping items that people commonly pick up and put down such as drinks and food. The nearness of the items helps out this problem quite a bit.
Using round tables has been the more traditional form of side table, and they actually look pretty nice contrasted to a rectangular couch. It can be supposed that this has contributed to their longevity as frequent the shape of side table frequently select for use in home designs. Considering the fact that most couches are rectangular though, there might be a far better selection to choose from that meets the circle concept half way.
The half moon tables fit perfectly against the side of the couches straight edges, making them exceptional side tables. Half moon tables are in essence, circular tables that have been cut in half. They have one straight edge (which would be down the middle of the circle) and one half-circle shape. This makes them ideal for almost any use where you’d like to have a table that fits flush against a straight surface, yet has a table with a circular shape as its surface.
Half moon tables come in various styles. There are more modern styles that are made of lacquer and have intricate designs, and there are styles going all the way back to the old world Victorian era which include wood and include single drawers.
